“In this lesson, we're going to be focusing on the mid-tones. This, for me, is one of the most important and perhaps the most interesting stages of the painting process. We're going to be mixing the correct colors and showing you how I apply the paint in a directional way trying to create a sense of form building contours around what's essentially a 2D map that we have here. So I'm going to be making brush marks that will help to define the texture of the skin, as well as creating shape and movement, hopefully making this a visually interesting and exciting painting.
