Digital Product Design with Lean and UX
“We have reached the final part of the course! Remember that the fastest way to learn (and also the most effective) is by practicing. The time has come for you to turn the idea for an App or service into a prototype that you can always validate with users in the least expensive and efficient way, just before starting to design the screens or UI. To do this, we have learned to use an arsenal of tools that you can start using totally or partially in your projects. In the immersion part, in which we are going to learn more about the project itself and the users, we will use the reference document, interviews and surveys. In order to empathize with our users we have learned to make proto-people , empathy maps and proto-journeys to bring out functionalities for our digital product. You can order all the research information on the affinity diagram and make a poster that summarizes the most important discoveries of the project. Define functionalities based on user needs with user stories + jobs stories . Now it's time to prioritize to see what are the functionalities that you are going to include in the first version of the product. To do this, you can use the MoSCoW method or the Functionality Matrix (you don't have to do both). Organize the structure of your App or website by defining an sitemap and the most important user flows of your product. Once the contents and flows are structured, design the screens using wireframes by hand or Sketching, you can help yourself with the Crazy 8's if you get stuck in something, you will need those wireframes to create a prototype in Pop / Marvel. The most important thing in this process is that you validate the wireframes through a user test to validate the proposal before designing, to save costs and resources. If you have knowledge of UI design, once you receive the feedback , you can transfer your hand-drawn designs to design with your favorite tool. You can also write a success story if you want to create a portfolio of projects. We are waiting for you in the course forum to help you with all the doubts that arise in the project. I want to thank you for making it this far. With this course I wanted to "democratize" access to this type of training and make life easier for both designers and users. I hope these exercises help you in your day-to-day work and I invite you to continue deepening and iterating on them. We have many users to make life easier! You can also find me on Twitter as @oscaresepe , on Instagram as @oscarsp and you can also join the group Elastic Heads , on LinkedIn, there we share resources and job offers! See you!! ”
