In this tutorial, we'll show you how to create beautiful fabric flower embellishments that are perfect for decorating and personalizing your upcycled pieces. Whether you're a seasoned DIY enthusiast or just starting your upcycling journey, these simple steps will help you add a unique and creative flair to your projects.

Choose Your Fabric The first step in making your fabric flowers is to select the fabric you'll be using. Upcycling is all about using what you have, so look for scraps or leftover fabric from previous projects. You can choose different fabrics to create a more textured and colorful flower.

Cut Out Circles Next, cut out circles from your fabric. The size of the circles will depend on the size of the flowers you want to make. For this project, we used nine circles per flower. Mix and match fabrics to create a dynamic and layered look. Fold and Glue the Petals Now, it's time to start shaping your petals. Use hot glue to secure each circle by folding it in half and then folding it in half again. Repeat this process for all the circles.

Assemble the Flower After creating all your petals, glue them onto a base to form a flower shape. Start by arranging the larger petals on the outer edge and work your way inward with the smaller petals.

Add a Finishing Touch To complete your fabric flower, add a button or bead in the center. This adds a polished look and helps secure the petals in place. Finally, give your flower a trim so that all the petals are even.
