How to Create a New Blog Post
Start off by going to the WordPress control panel, finding All posts and clicking on Add new. You can write directly into WordPress or copy content from a document.
Text Blocks
In WordPress, paragraphs each have their own text field, so you can edit and personalize each block individually.
The menu bar above each text block and the side menu include options that allow you to format your content: you can adjust the font, configure the text and add color.
The forward slash (/) allows you to open a text block selection window and to filter your actions.
Images
Image fields allow you to upload an image from your computer, or select an image file from your media library if you’ve already created one in WordPress. The photo caption allows you to describe the image or provide photo credits.
Final adjustments
Go to Document in the right hand menu. Define your post category and tag. Categories and Tags are ways to organize blog content by classifying it into subject areas.
Categories are very broad. Tags are more specific and related to the post.
Featured Image is the picture that will be shown in the listings and on social media when your post is shared. Choose an attention-grabbing image, something that’s visually interesting and a nice fit for your content.
Select the level of Visibility for your post. Is it public, private or password protected?
You can schedule the Date of publication by setting the date and time or choose to publish immediately. Posts are set to publish immediately by default.
And you’re done! Now all you have to do is click on Publish and you’ll be able to see your post. Congratulations!
