Music has always had a strong influence on my work, especially bossa nova. Bossa nova is a soft samba from Brazil, and one of its founding fathers is João Gilberto. For me, bossa nova leads to many different feelings. It has a very happy and upbeat feel to it, but in some ways it's also melancholic.
