“All right, so let's begin to adjust the head to bring it onto our sculpture. The first thing I want to do is trim the head, trim the space. So we're going to follow the trajectory of the skull. The skull line goes under the mandible, up to the earth, all the way around to the other ear and down around. Notice that the cap is still off. It's been shaped along side the head, but it's still off because I continually go in there to push and adjust and enhance those volumes until the very end. So now I'm getting to the point where the piece is drying, and if I continue to push, I might crack it....”
