“In this lesson, we are going to attach the arms. Before we start with that, I want to talk to you a little bit about gesture. So the way I am organizing these parts is in a very grounded, stoic way. A lot of my work is inspired by primitive religious sculpture that my mother collected. I find something very soothing about that grounded stance, almost like the figure is not creating a narrative, but it's ready to receive.
