“ Scaling and Repetitive Patterns: The Bottom Tier Now let's mix some colors to start painting on the cake. First, we'll make a teal color, add some red to it, and tone it down slightly. We'll also mix some black to make it darker. If you look at our sketch, we have a thick green band at the bottom and a thin green band at the top. For the thick one, if you look closely at our cake, the bottom band should come up to about here, where our pin is. I'll use a flat brush, place the brush on the cake, and rotate so that we have a straight line. This is easy for horizontal lines instead of moving...”
