“Those of you that are familiar with my work will know that a lot of it contains old machinery and rusty objects. And in rust I trust. So I'm going to show you for the first time ever how I start off creating those special rust effects. First I'm going to remove this piece of cardboard from this circle because I'm going to put it onto this one to protect the area. In doing so you can see the amazing effects that our spattering produced. First colour is, I'm going to use yellow ochre as a base colour for making rust. This is a milk consistency of yellow ochre.
