“And now it's time for some practical demonstrating. You will have read or seen, or maybe you can even do some of this stuff. There are certain washes. Now, what is a wash? A wash is simply a saucer or a palette full of color. Now, I'm going to show you a series of washes. Some of them you may have seen before, some of them not. So the first wash I'm going to do is called the basic wash or the flat wash. Actually, there's nothing basic about it at all.
