Bob Dobbie, also known as Bob Dob, is a painter from Hermosa Beach, California. After being diagnosed with cancer at 12 years old, he was drawn toward music and art and went on to play in a band for over a decade, which had a big influence on his style. Bob later completed a BFA in illustration at Otis College of Art and Design and, after graduating, worked as an illustrator for clients including Epitaph Records, Intel, American Airlines, Random House Publishing, and Disney.
He currently exhibits his work in galleries throughout the US and parts of Europe. He is known for his sardonic humor and is often commissioned to paint iconic pop culture characters, which he shares with over 35K followers on Instagram.
