About the final project for: Minimalist Logo Design With Personality

Minimalist Logo Design With Personality

“Congratulations. You have reached the end of this Domestika course. Thanks again for enrolling! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did and now feel confident to design something awesome for your chosen brand or client. It was a pleasure sharing with you the tips, tools, and tricks that I use every day. Before saying goodbye, let's review the necessary steps to complete your project: Clarifying the Brief Decide on your brief by going through the questionnaire provided in Unit 2. This will help you to learn the process behind creating a strong brief for clients, which is something we all need as designers. Gathering Research and Inspiration Research the industry you have chosen to work in. As you do this, take notes and save images to use as potential references. This practice will help you throughout this project and even in your career. Eventually, it will become second nature. The Sketching Process When the sketching starts, remember to keep it rough. At this stage, your sketches shouldn't be perfect. The aim is to get all your ideas down on paper (or iPad) ready to develop them in Adobe Illustrator. Remember to iterate and repeat. Taking that idea even further can lead to some amazing results!

The Digital Phase Once you're happy with your design, transfer it to your computer and develop those sketches into final vectors. As you work through this process, be confident to pursue any creative sparks you have. Your initial pencil sketches don’t have to be your final idea. See where Adobe Illustrator takes you. Experiment, be playful, and have fun! Remember, don't worry if you get stuck. Take a step back and come back later. If your mind becomes clogged, it's probably a sign that you need breathing space. Don't forget to regularly refer back to your brief to ensure that your work remains in line with the brand. Stay reflective and communicate as much of the brand's essence as possible.
The Presentation The final step in this process is to present your work to the client. So, select the logos you love and consider which of those best meets the brief. Build a beautiful presentation to show this to the client. Remember to avoid anything too complicated. Split each idea out into sections and only include the necessary information. Don't forget to include mock-ups! This way, your client can visualise how these ideas will play out in the real world.
I can't wait to see your final concepts, so share your presentation in the forum! You can share your project with all of us by clicking on 'Create your project'. Remember to share both the final result and the steps that have led you to it. It would be great if you showed a picture of each step and added a brief explanation about what you have done in each one. Show me all the different processes so I can see how your ideas developed. So, that's all from me. I will be in the forum to answer any questions you may have about the course – the creative process, the tools, and any doubts – so don’t hesitate to chat with me! I’m here to help. I will reply as soon as I can, but in the meantime don't be afraid to interact with the other students. I'm sure we all have a lot to offer each other, being the vibrant creative community that we are. So, let's get the conversations flowing! Thanks again for taking part in this course. I had an amazing time creating it and hope it's been of value to you. I'm so excited to see what you make, so be sure to share as much as you can. Receiving feedback will only improve you as a creative. See you in the forum! ”
