“ Influences In this lesson, we'll look at some of the big influences on me as I developed my art style. David Hockney was a huge inspiration when I discovered him during my A level in fine art. This is a collection of a lot of his landscape work. One thing that struck me about his work is he's very prolific. He's got beautiful colours in his work. Also that he was using acrylics. Prior to this, I'd tried oil paints and found them a bit fussy. What I love about acrylics is, because they dry so quickly compared to oils, you've really got to get stuck in and just go for it.
