In this class, I'm going to show you how to collect inspiration for form. and color palette through photographic records of small details inside your own home. To collect shape and color palette inspirations for the final design, I got my own cell phone and I recorded small details inside my own house. In this experiment, I managed to register these five details. The important thing here is not the photo itself. and yes these details that form small spots within the full frame of the photo. Although she's trained in architecture and urban design, she began her artistic career in 2015 when she first came into contact with a loom and discovered she had a knack for weaving. Juliana combines techniques from different art forms in her work, such as sewing, embroidery, and crochet, while also incorporating a variety of mediums like video, drawing, and photography.
She has participated in both group and solo exhibitions, including A Tessitura do Gesto, which took place in 2021 at the Arte Plural Gallery in Recife. When she's not creating, Juliana shares her knowledge by teaching textile art courses across Brazil.
