“Drawing People from Pictures For this image, we will also use paints. I'll start by using graphite pencil. I'll draw this lady with her cats. I started with graphite pencil and I've pressed down quite hard. I normally don't do this but this is for you to see clearly. I started with the most important thing, which is the face. Now it's good to start with the face because then you know that it will be on the page. There are times when I start drawing at the bottom with hands, for example, and then the face ends up off your page. That's a shame. Since her face and the cat's face are most impor...”
