“Influences Now you know about me, I'd like to share my influences with you. The first artist I'd like to show is Fiep Westendorp. Her work is a classic example of how I understand illustration. She learned how to draw realistically before moving to abstract drawing. For example, here we see a portrait by her during her studies in art school, and it's very realistic. I'm not able to draw like this but I'd like to. She started here and then her drawing style evolved into something more abstract. If we look at a drawing like this, maybe you wouldn't believe that this artist can draw realistica...”
