“Drawing People from Pictures In this lesson, I'll show you how to use photos as a reference. First, I'll make some quick sketches using the picture references, and then I'll move on to more elaborate drawings. The materials that I'll use include wet and dry materials, gouache, crayons, coloured pencils and markers. When I look for picture references online, there are a few guidelines that I like to follow.
