I will use the normal gouache, which is water-soluble. The first thing I will talk about is warm and cold colours. Let's start with blue, which is a cold colour, and add that to the page. I'm adding quite a lot of water, but I want to make it a dark blob. I'm making sure there's enough pigment on my brush. Let's put two blobs of blue, which is a cold colour.
