“Finding Material in Your Past I use a lot of my childhood memories in my books, not big life-changing memories, but small things that happened to me or I observed when I was little. These are my favourite parts to write. It's those moments that I can visualise, I can remember how that experience was when I was younger. This is what I want you to think about when you're writing your project. Think about something from your own childhood. To use some examples, when I was younger, I must have been about four years old, I took part in a fancy dress competition and my mum dressed me as the Queen...”
