Born in Mexico, Emiliano Godoy studied at the Ibero-American University and later the Pratt Institute. He has more than 20 years of experience working on applied sustainability projects with the aim of using design as a tool of positive change for society and the environment.

He is currently a partner at the design company Tuux and at the experimental glass design and manufacturing company Vissio, as well as a member of the Abierto Mexicano de Diseño, an international design festival devoted to celebrating all aspects of design. He has collaborated with brands from around the world including Kikkerland, Urrea, Nouvel, Lamosa, Nike, Comex, Tecnotabla, and Nanimarquina.

He has also taught classes at the Tec de Monterrey, Centro de Diseño Cine y Televisión, UNAM, Pratt Institute, and the Ibero-American University. Of all his work, his most prized pieces are those included in the permanent collections at the MoMA in New York, the Franz Mayer Museum in Mexico City, and the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum.
