About the video: Color Subtraction and Illusion 2
Overview
“The following experiment is essentially the same as the first one. But, this time, we look for colors that create a more engaging illusion in which we begin to see changes in value (lightness or darkness) and hue (the general identity of the color). Then, I will perform again the most famous of the Albers's experiments: make 3 colors look like 2. I will do this first with monochromatic colors (3 different colors of the same hue), then with complementary colors (colors that are opposites on the color wheel). Albers encourages us to embrace trial and error—the only clue he gives us is to find the middle color. ”
