About the video: Flexibility and Adaptation
Overview
“To be creative you need to be flexible, adaptable and forgiving - with yourself and with your project. Your project will never be exactly what you have imagined earlier. It will be different and better. We all fall in love with our own initial ideas. Many times that love prevents us from advancing to more sophisticated ones. If you stop with the first ideas that have, you will not arrive to the new ideas which are awaiting and, most likely, will be better. Luckily when making a collage, we can encourage flexibility by extending the period before the ‘glueing’ arrives. Flexibility of thought helps us escaping prejudices. Being creative is about listening to what is in front of you and not what was supposed to be. You know better because you are here and know what your project needs. ”
In this video lesson Hanoch Piven addresses the topic: Flexibility and Adaptation, which is part of the Domestika online course: Finding Your Creative Voice through Collage. Discover a playful process to unleash and expand your creativity through the creation of portraits.
