About the video: The Collage Technique
Overview
“ Let us look at the definition of collage and see that it is an assemblage of factors (forms, objects) that are not usually associated with each other. Collage is a beautiful way to create portraits, first of all because it is easy: anybody can do it. Collage is about stepping away from a commanding voice of authority that decides what’s right and what’s not. We carefully gather and collect and slowly build an image using our own set of rules. Collage can be seen as a deeper idea, as a metaphor for an individual, who is a unique combination of different factors, experiences, triumphs and failures, places and people. ”
In this video lesson Hanoch Piven addresses the topic: The Collage Technique, which is part of the Domestika online course: Finding Your Creative Voice through Collage. Discover a playful process to unleash and expand your creativity through the creation of portraits.
