“ Creating Patterns with Rya Knots In this lesson, I'll show how to make a rya knot as well as different patterns I'll show how to make later on. To make a rya knot, the first thing is to cut a piece of whatever color you want that's at least 3.5 inches long. This is longer than that, but that's fine. You can make a rya knot either by using your hands, or you can do it with your needle. It depends on the space you have to work with.
