“ Creating Patterns with Rya Knots In this lesson, I'll show how to make a rya knot as well as different patterns I'll show how to make later on. To make a rya knot, the first thing is to cut a piece of whatever color you want that's at least 3.5 inches long. This is longer than that, but that's fine. You can make a rya knot either by using your hands, or you can do it with your needle. It depends on the space you have to work with. These shapes don't have much room to get your fingers in between the warp strings. I'll use my needle. You'll go under one warp string.... pull the yarn through...”
