“In this lesson, I'll prepare my surface for painting and complete the drawing stage. So I'm going to be painting on a canvas. It's a 20 by 20 canvas, so it's quite small. I'm going to be putting a coloured ground on the surface. One of the reasons for doing that is to get rid of the white. So it's always a bit daunting to have a white surface.
