“In this lesson, Stitching Fundamentals, we're going to talk about the basics of stitching. Sashko is a simple line of stitching, running stitch, but there are particular ways that we can hold the needle which makes it more ergonomic and user-friendly. And once we get the hang of it, it can be quite soothing, repetitive, and we can create a beautiful rhythm with our stitching. One of the main differences between Sashko and, say, Western-style embroidery is the way we hold our needle and wear a thimble. The palm thimble is worn, as it's known, on the palm, and it sits here.
