This is a wonderful course with a very appealing teacher. He manages to make the technique feel approachable while inspiring awe about the artistic possibilities and deep respect for the history/cultural context of sashiko. I love the kit as well!

I was very interested in this topic because I inherited a lot of clothes waiting to be recycled. I think and feel that this course is a great opportunity, thank you...

I enjoy the fact I am learning about the culture of Sashiko stitching. I read Atsushi's regular posts on IG too and, as someone mentions before me, working to his teaching brings peace and tranquillity as I slowly work to improve my stitches. I am working practice pieces at present and hope to move on to my hand indigo dyed coat in the months ahead.

PlusThis was an excellent class! I’ve tried to learning sashiko from books and it was difficult. This class was fun and interesting. Well structured and paced. I really appreciate learning how to prepare patterns from scratch and without templates. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and love for sashiko. I’ve started my first swatch and can’t wait to get into stitching more.

I'm waiting on the starter pack of materials (it would have been good to have this earlier, I didn't think of it until I had watched the first few videos and would advise anyone to prepare better than I did) but I'm very engaged so far and looking forward to actually doing the course

An excellent course from a true artisan. It is so important to learn the correct methods and understand them from the cultural perspective. A unique approach from a master stitcher and I appreciate the sharing of your family's precious legacy. Arigato gozaimashite!
