“In this lesson, I want to introduce you to my influences. The main influence for paper sculpture when I first started paper sculpture was Leo Monaghan. This is back in the early 1980s. He's been a very important person in my life, a good friend, even a mentor. He never taught me how to make paper sculptures, but he would critique my work and give me hints and little tips about what I could do.
