“ Materials In the last lesson, we talked about my influences, and in this lesson, we'll discuss some of the materials that we'll be using in this course. I have in front of me a selection of materials that we'll be using. The first tool that I want to talk about is the charcoal pencil. This will be the main drawing instrument that we'll use throughout the course. I have a couple of different charcoal pencils here. This is a peel-away charcoal pencil.
