About the final project for: Fundamentals of Figure Drawing with Charcoal

Fundamentals of Figure Drawing with Charcoal

“Congratulations! You have reached the end of this Domestika course. It has been a genuine joy sharing my knowledge and experience with you. Thank you so much. I sincerely hope you have enjoyed the course. Now I’d like to remind you of some of the most important steps we gave throughout the course and that you should remember when you start doing your course project:
Finding the Gesture Begin with the gesture by carefully trying to capture the movement of the figure; you can exaggerate the movement for dramatic effect if you wish.

Creating a Contour Draw the contour of the figure with simple shapes, using the gesture as your guide. Then, adjust the contour by adding overlapping lines and more subtle shapes.
Sketching the Figure Break the figure down into basic forms – cubes, spheres, and cylinders – and use these forms to add planes – front, side, top, and bottom – to each part of the body. Sketching the Figure With Value Add basic value to the figure using the planes as a guide.
Adding Anatomy Finally, add anatomical information such as muscles and bony landmarks, as well as final details.
And that's all! Thank you so much for taking part. I can't wait to see your illustrations! You can share your project with all of us by clicking on "Create your project." Remember to share both the final result and the steps that have led you to it. It would be great if you showed a picture of each step and added a brief explanation about what you have done in each one. If you have any questions, be sure to ask them! I will reply as soon as I can, but in the meantime, I encourage you to interact with each other. Communication fuels creativity. So, don't be afraid to reach out and collaborate with others. But most of all, have fun! See you in the forum! ”

“ Final Project Thank you so much for taking my course. I hope you were able to learn something new and you'll share some of your artwork with me. Remember, simple is better. Slow down and don't get lost in the details. Practice using the materials, holding the pencil, creating airplane strokes, and developing a sensitive touch. Warming up with quick sketches is always a good idea. Two minutes, five minutes, or ten minutes, time spent warming up in the beginning will save you time correcting mistakes in the end. Always use a good reference based on the guidelines that we discussed in Unit 2...”
