“In this lesson we focus on texturing metal material based on a track model. Different layers of micro and macro scratches are going to give our model more realism. Let's dive into it. I will start by applying the material from the previous lesson to the rubber parts, so go to the Smart Material tab and search for the rubber material. Make sure you have the rubber object selected and then drag and drop the material into layers stack. As you can see, working with smart materials improves a lot the texturing process, so now we can focus on the metal textures for the base plate and the hanger. ...”
