“In this lesson I will show you how to texture rubber material with details on the wheel model. To break up the perfect surface we will add some dirt with ambient occlusion. Let's go for it. To begin let's define the basic properties of our wheel material. So I'm going to add a fill layer, rename it to base and then just set the color at roughness. I will set the base color to a light color with a bit of warm tint. Also new skateboard wheels are usually shiny so set the roughness to a low value such as 0.2.
