“ Drawing the Elements and Collaging the Environment In the previous lesson, we worked on our portrait. We applied value, color complements, and built-up skin tone. In this lesson, we'll work on the elements of our environment. I continued working on my portrait and brought it to a level of completion that I'm happy with. I did that by doing the same process over and over again, laying down the pastel layers and redrawing. I applied the same process to the hand and using my reference pictures as a guide, I was able to develop value and redraw the elements of the fingers and hands looking at...”
