About the final project for: Hand-drawn logo design

Hand-crafted logo design

“Thank you for having taken part in this course! I have been as honest as I can about my process, and I really hope that you found it useful! It is now time to work on your project. This could mean finishing the logo you started while completing the exercises or you could start a brand new project! Either way, I strongly suggest you take the time to gather inspiration and make a unique project of your own. Make sure to keep track of your progress with different pictures of each step. It'd be great if you could also explain the choices you've made along the way and tell me if you have any doubts. This will help me understand your creative process and guide you better if you need advice. Here are the main steps to follow: Mind Maps and Mood Board Use your brand questionnaire to gather specific information from your client. Then, pick out the key adjectives and ideas to word map and expand on the information. Use everything you’ve gathered to develop a mood board that communicates the vibe you're looking for. Think about meaning and emotion rather than specific visual direction.

Sketches Now sketch and develop your ideas using Procreate (or pencil and paper) to craft ideas that will work for your client’s logo. Iteration is key, so try as many ways as possible to communicate the same idea.
Vectors and Mock-ups Finally, vectorise your finished sketch and lay it up with some colour and typography. Once you're satisfied with your design, apply it to some mock-ups, so your client can really visualise their brand. Are you able to bring back some of your earlier sketches to help flesh out the brand and provide brand illustrations?
I am excited to see what you have created! Don’t forget to share your project on the forum. You can do so by clicking on ‘Create your project’. I will respond to your posts and questions as soon as possible. In the meantime, I encourage you to take a look at what others created for this project and comment on their posts, too. Bye!”

“Final Project Cool, so now we've reached the end of the course and I just wanted to take a moment to say thanks to each and every one of you. I've tried to be as honest as I can about my process and some of the things I've learned over the years and I hope you find it useful. Now it's time to put what you've learned into practice and create your own hand-drawn logo. You can use the questionnaire that I provided with a real-life client or come up with a fake client for an industry that you would like to work in or maybe you could create a logo for a friend. Just remember that the questionnai...”
