“Sanding the Piece In this lesson, we'll go over the proper methods for sanding our piece. We'll also look at what to look out for for your wood. Here, we have the wood plaque that we'll be using, some sandpaper, and a rest to rest our hand. In this piece, I'm checking to see if there are any knots in the wood that would give me trouble later on, and I'm also checking to see if there's too much color variation and if there are any problems in the plaque. Is it uneven, are there any bevels, stuff like that. This looks good. It's a piece of basswood. This one is pre-sanded, but we'll sand it a...”
