Visual Identity for Brands Inspired by Storytelling
“Congratulations! You have reached the end of this Domestika course. Thanks for taking part! I hope you've enjoyed learning about the inner workings of my design process. Before saying goodbye, let's recap the different steps to achieve your project.
- First, select a product, preferably an artisanal and locally produced one.
- Then, read and analyze the client’s brief, in order to fully understand what their needs are.
- Select a story, myth, fable, or legend—close to the product’s cultural background—and extract images as a reference to design your key visual. When doing so, make sure to match the brand values or product assets with the story’s attributes.
- Next, illustrate your final key visual and logo. Then find appropriate fonts for your title and body text.
- Finally, design your product label and box—if any—by combining all design assets such as your logo, key visual, and typography into mock-ups.
