Go to Image, Adjustments, Levels, and let's clean up the page slightly by brightening our page just enough that the paper is completely white, but the pencil artwork is still clearly seen. I'll slightly darken the darkest areas, lighten the page, and click OK. If you scan the image in greyscale, go to Image, Mode, RGB, and now Image, Adjustments, Hue/Saturation. Aside from creating comic books of his own, Sam regularly teaches illustration and comic book art and is passionate about helping others create their own realities through visual narratives.
