“Sizing and Cutting the Waves As we saw in the previous lesson, the size of our automaton's base was defined from the proportions of our drawing. Two longer sides and two shorter ones, making a rectangle. Let’s use that same reasoning to define the number of pieces that will make up the sea. The size of the waves will depend on the size of the automaton base. You should leave some room on both sides so that the waves have space to move with the mechanism.
