“Stockinette Knitting and Cast Off In this lesson, I'll show you how to do stockinette knitting and how to cast off. When you finish ribbing, it's common to change to a bigger needle. If you use jumbo needles, you can start knitting, but I'll screw this off my changeable needle and attach the bigger one. I'm changing from a needle number 5 to a needle number 6. This can vary, but it will always say so in the pattern you use. We'll use our knit stitch and our purl stitch, but in another way.
