“Finishing the Wood In this lesson, we'll turn these still a bit rough pieces of wood into finished pieces that'll be a part of the furniture. The first step will be to sand them. Now, you can sand them by hand but I prefer to use an orbital sander. This process will create a lot of fine dust so I'll recommend using some sort of dust mask. I'll start by sanding the plywood. I'll sand the top, the bottom, and also the sides with a 120-grit. If you use an orbital sander, just be careful not to sand through one of the layers of the plywood because that'll look terrible and there's no way to fix...”
