“ Influences In this lesson, I'm excited to share with you some artists and designers who influence my work. The first artist I'd like to introduce is W.E.B. Du Bois. Du Bois was the ultimate trailblazer. He worked at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, and he created work to shed light on the progress of African-Americans. He created data visualizations that look modern and forward-thinking, all entirely by hand. I'm continuously inspired by the unique abstract forms that his work consists of. Amazingly, he was able to create this work over 100 years ago. One...”
