“Adding Colours, Textures and Details I'll start working on his face, adding a little layer in here. I'll make sure I have the brush I want. I might add this lighter tone to show the underneath of his chin here. Add some definition to his face, and maybe some little cheeks. I'm not so happy with this one. Something you can do when you colour and add texture is to get this tool here and draw around the thing that you're not sure about, get your Arrow and move it with your finger or pencil to reposition it in a place that you're happy with. Lauren Radley
A course by Lauren Radley
Lauren has been drawing ever since she can remember. In awe of her artist mother, she dreamt of being able to draw and paint just like her one day. She was encouraged by her family to draw and create from a young age, and didn’t hesitate to apply to art college when finishing school. Lauren studied illustration and Kingston University, London, but it wasn’t until taking a gap year to travel Asia that she decided to focus on her illustration work and launch her first website. Once back in London, Lauren started picking up editorial work and began building her reputation as an illustrator.
Since her first major commissioned artwork–creating a mural for Coffee Republic–and her impactful work for the ad campaign for Cancer Rearch, Lauren hasn’t looked back. She has worked with clients including The National Trust, Waitrose, and The Telegraph. She has illustrated for many magazines and publications including BBC Good Food, The Evening Standard, and Psycologies magazine. Today, her time is split between client work and working on new products for her online business. In one of her latest projects, Lauren designed a book of stamps for the Royal Mail, which will be in circulation for a minimum of five years.
