“Adding Colours, Textures and Details In this lesson, we'll create our finished artwork and get it ready for print. While researching for the project, you'll start to look and think about colour palettes. I have selected mine and left some in the Additional Resources for you if you want to use the colour palettes that I've made. I'll show you how to import your colour palette into Procreate. Lauren has been drawing ever since she can remember. In awe of her artist mother, she dreamt of being able to draw and paint just like her one day. She was encouraged by her family to draw and create from a young age, and didn’t hesitate to apply to art college when finishing school. Lauren studied illustration and Kingston University, London, but it wasn’t until taking a gap year to travel Asia that she decided to focus on her illustration work and launch her first website. Once back in London, Lauren started picking up editorial work and began building her reputation as an illustrator.

Since her first major commissioned artwork–creating a mural for Coffee Republic–and her impactful work for the ad campaign for Cancer Rearch, Lauren hasn’t looked back. She has worked with clients including The National Trust, Waitrose, and The Telegraph. She has illustrated for many magazines and publications including BBC Good Food, The Evening Standard, and Psycologies magazine. Today, her time is split between client work and working on new products for her online business. In one of her latest projects, Lauren designed a book of stamps for the Royal Mail, which will be in circulation for a minimum of five years.
