About the final project for: Creative Poster Design for Events

Creative Poster Design for Events

“You have reached the end of this course. I hope it inspired you to create and experiment with your own style. Thanks for joining me in this adventure! Now it’s your time to create your own personal final project. Let me show an example of what I would love to see when you post your project: The Mood Board Create your mood board to put together reference images and concepts. Take a while to go over the internet, books, magazines, or any place where you can find inspiration and information.

Draw Your Sketches Inspired by the mood board, draw several quick sketches to capture the idea of your poster. Try not to think too much while you are drawing them, that way you can let your ideas go with the flow.
Clean Up Choose one of your sketches, and redraw it in a larger size, taking the opportunity to refine the illustration and draw your original letters. Once you are happy with the result, you can digitize the file to continue refining it. If you have it on Illustrator, remember you can add typography to it, at last leave the file ready for coloring.
Choose a Color Palette Using Illustrator's Recolor Artwork tool, try various color palette options until you find the right one for your design.
Last Details You are almost done. To finish your design, you can add ornamentation and texture details to make it look like a real poster, and that’s it!
Please, do not forget to share your final project, by clicking here above on "Create Your Project". When you upload it, the Domestika community and I will be able to give you feedback, besides, you will inspire the rest of the students to work on their projects. If you want to share your project on Instagram as I taught you, do not hesitate to use the hashtag #MarteDomestika and tag me @marte_______ that way I can see your post. “Final Project Thanks for letting me share my fascination for posters with you. I hope it inspires you to create your own. When you start working on your project. keep in mind that designing a poster takes a lot of steps. You're not going to have it all figured out at the beginning, so, keep calm. My rule is don't erase. Don't throw your sketch in the trash. Keep working on it. Maybe you feel your sketch doesn't look good. Maybe, you feel your idea is not as cool. That's usually our anxious mind wanting to see the poster finished at an early stage. If you put time and dedication into it, I'm...”
