This is my technique for creating compositions and ideas to put all your characters together into one final illustration. One great way of finding composition inspiration is looking at artists you admire, works that draw you in and you want to keep looking at. Julie Benbassat is an illustrator and self-confessed avid doodler who specializes in creating illustrations for editorial and publishing clients. She has been drawing since she was old enough to hold a pencil and, after being encouraged by her art teacher to pursue a career in illustration, eventually went on to study for a BFA in the art form at the Rhode Island School of Design. There, she discovered the storytelling properties of illustration which are integral to her work today.
Julie combines traditional and digital illustration methods to create captivating artwork for clients including The New York Times, NPR, PLANSPONSOR, BOOM! Studios and Cartoon Network.
