“Scanning In this lesson I'll show you how to scan your image. Your image may be too large for your scanner, but I'll show you how to cope with this. There are many different softwares to do that, but I like to use Photoshop. I'll show you how I do it. When I scan an image, the piece is usually too large for the scanner, but there's a way to fix that, so don't worry. Most scanners have their own software to use their own interface for scanning, but I prefer the Photoshop interface and get some of the best results. So, I go to File, Import, Images from Device. After studying graphic design in university in Austria (and a brief stint as a jazz musician), Paul Scherübel began working as an editorial graphic designer for the Austrian magazine Graz. Wanting to improve his artistic abilities, he moved to London to study illustration in the University of Westminster, where he developed his eclectic and experimental style.
He has since done illustrations for magazines, theater productions, and companies like The Folio Society, Austria Microsystems, and the Swiss Engineering Institute. He has also been featured in Images: Best of British Illustration, Spectrum 26: The Best in Contemporary Fantastic Art, and 3×3: The Magazine of Contemporary Illustration.
