“I embraced my limitations as a musician to try to create something which I really liked the sound of in the end. I was working with a singer and I wanted to produce the track in a way that sounded very humble and intimate and folkloric, somehow homely. So I didn't need to have like a grand recording and a beautiful studio with the best musicians that would almost kill it. If you get session musicians in, sometimes they're so good at what they do, it becomes perfect. And somehow there can be, there's a danger. It can go bland sometimes. it's another lever you can pull.
