“Some Composing and Production Tips In this lesson, I'll cover some composing and production tips mainly related to film, but also some tips I always wanted to share. First thing to remember is leave the dialogue on. Write with it off and you'll make mistakes. Dialogue is king, leave it there. Write with it, around it, under it. At the very end or to check a mix, I might take it away to double-check there's no errors, but leave it there. Also, generally speaking, your music will be mixed quieter than what you're used to, probably 12 dB lower than you would imagine. Take that into account as ...”
