Crochet Pattern Design: Find Your Signature Style
“Dear crocheter, you’ve made it through the course! Thank you for your active participation - I’m so happy to have you crocheting with us. Handmaking is always nicer when we work together. We solve problems, share tips, and laugh together. You may have realized that crochet is a very simple craft. The stitches are easy to make, the patterns are fun to design, and the result, your project, will be in use for years! That is what I love about any handmade project: the long life. We don’t buy it ready-made, we don’t throw it away after the trend has gone. Instead, we cherish the work. After all, you have made every stitch and held every inch of yarn in your fingers. It’s a result of your creativity and talent. Talking about creativity - did you see there is a file in the second unit with a grid for a single and a double crochet pattern design? Print them out, grab some pencils in your favorite colors, and start drawing! It will be amazing to crochet the pattern you have designed yourself and believe me, you don’t need to be an artist to design a pattern. Just start somewhere, make a small repeating cherry pattern, that is how I started.
