Linework
A course by Lapin , Urban Sketcher
About the video: Linework
Overview
“In this lesson, I will show you how I build a curvilinear perspective in a very intuitive way. I start with black fine liner by the closest element, my foreground. This first element will be my scale of the composition. I only describe the main shapes of the buildings in black. For the textures, patterns, or secondary details, I will use a grey or ochre fineliner. I encourage you to add storytelling to your sketch, including people, speech bubbles, soundtrack, and descriptions. You have to pay attention to what is going on while you are sketching.”
In this video lesson Lapin addresses the topic: Linework, which is part of the Domestika online course: Urban Sketching: Express Your World in a New Perspective. Rediscover your surroundings by creating watercolor sketches of people, places, and fisheye perspectives.

It's better to spend 4 or 5 minutes ...”
